  • Entrance Examination - 8:00 am - 12:00 noon.

  • Testing will end approximately at noon.

  • Acceptance Letters / Tuition Assistance Applications mailed to applicants. Applications for tuition assistance will be mailed with acceptance letters.  Tuition assistance is available to families who have registered to attend Junipero Serra High School.

  • Non-refundable registration deposit of $100 is required of those receiving acceptance letters to secure a space for the student for the upcoming school year.

  • Registration Balance of $250.00 is required of those receiving acceptance letters to secure a space for the student for the upcoming year.
2010 -2011 Tuition

Catholic $5,550 @ $550 per month due the 10th of each month, starting Aug - May $10,000 @ $1,000 per month family rate (Siblings only)
Non-Catholic $6,000 @ $600 per month due the 10th of each month, starting Aug - May $11,500 @ $1,150 per month family rate (Siblings only)

 
JUNIPERO SERRA HIGH SCHOOL CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

Applicants for admission to Junipero Serra High School must meet the following criteria:

1.  Those applying for Grade 9 must pass the required standardized placement test with scores no lower than the 48th percentile.

2.  A GPA of 2.0 is the minimum grade point average required for acceptance at Serra High School.

3.  Willingness to cooperate with Catholic values and behavioral expectations is a required criterion for admittance. Students who have manifested behavioral problems in other schools will not be considered for admission.

4.  Parents of incoming students will be required to sign an agreement designating their understanding of the school’s disciplinary standards and their willingness to meet the prescribed payment plan for tuition.

5.  Students from public schools are ordinarily accepted into the Catholic school only at normal transfer points, i.e., going from one grade to another at the beginning of the school year. Incoming seniors are not considered unless transferring from another Catholic high school outside of the area.

6.  Students are admitted to Serra High School without regard to race, color, or national origin. In those cases where there are more applicants than openings, Catholic students will be given preference over those who are not Catholic.
